This fund has been created by friends of Camryn (8 Years Old--- yeah, need to update, she's officially 9 now), and Betsy and Cliff (Camryn's parents).

On December 30, 2009, Camryn and her Dad were driving up to Tahoe for a fun day of skiing, Daddy and his little girl.  Camryn had just joined the Sugar Bowl Ski Team.  In the blink of an eye, their worst nightmare occurred, and ended up in tragedy.  Camryn sustained serious injuries in a car accident.

Yeah, the most exciting news, EVER.  Camryn just celebrated her birthday, IN HER OWN HOME!!!!  Talk about the best birthday ever, the best birthday present ever, the best news ever.  She is now in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by memories, love, and of course, her kitties.  The road to recovery is long, very long, and we all want Cliff and Betsy to know that while we are all so happy that she is "out of the woods", we are constantly thinking of them all, and are always here for them, whatever they need... even if it's just "an ear".

We all know (but don't quite understand) our Health Care System.  There is one thing that is for sure, it's scary not knowing what is going to happen each day, each time a new "bill" envelope is opened. What it means, and when it will ever stop. While she has "great" insurance, UC Davis is like most hospitals now where many of the doctors are contracted out and not actually employees of the hospital itself.  Who will actually accept the insurance is still a mystery, and at this point, bills have most likely well surpassed the annual capped amount.

Cliff and Betsy have expressed immense gratitude for all of the amazing donations, but wanted to make it clear that in the ideal event that they themselves can provide for Camryn, all funds collected will be donated to the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District (the first responder "Heroes" that we will all be forever grateful to, the UC Davis Children's Medical Center who care for Camryn on a daily basis, and the Ronald McDonald House who generously is providing a "home" for Cliff and Betsy during this tremendously difficult time.  So, by giving, in any event, you are giving to them, you might also be giving to an organization that might save you or another loved one's life, again.

Invite the kids to take a dollar or two from their piggy bank if they are wondering how to help, or send a card or picture to Camryn at UCDavis (the address is on Facebook under "Friends of Camryn Cause).

WELCOME HOME FRIENDS, this little town missed you!!
